About me

I’m a certified health coach and herbalist, and I’m a mom of 3. I’ve been in your shoes, mama. (I’ve been there recently in fact— my boys are 1, 3, and 5!). I know the postpartum struggle (and the glories!) deep in my bones. I bring to the table a vast knowledge of postnatal nutrition information, holistic lifestyle practices, and real life lived experience. My philosophy is simple. Feeding ourselves and our families real food makes us feel great and lead healthy, vibrant lives. But this is not easy to do during postpartum. During an already challenging time, your body needs specific nutrition and care right now. This is not to be taken lightly. Postpartum can lead into joy and good health, or it can lead it into depletion. And nothing happens overnight. It’s all about taking those consistent little steps. I’m going to teach you how to bring your health to the forefront of your days and take care of yourself with the same love and care you give to your new baby.

  1. What if I miss a call?

    No problem. You’ll have access to recordings if you can’t make it live.

  1. Can I join while breastfeeding?

    YES! I encourage you to tend to your baby in all of your regular ways during our calls. You’re welcome to breastfeed during our sessions, and you can always mute and turn off your camera if it makes you more comfortable.

  2. My baby is unpredictable — what if they cry during calls?

    This is 100% okay! Our style is “come as you are.” Show up in your sweat pants and messy bun, girl! Bounce your baby. Change their diaper. Play with them. Rock them to sleep. Make yourself a quick snack while you listen in. It’s all good here.

  3. I’m exhausted — will this feel overwhelming?

    This program should feel like a breath of fresh air. Let’s make food fun again! Learn practical tips. Feel seen and validated. My job is to make this season of your life easier, not give you more things you have to do.

  4. Do I need to cook a lot?

    No. In addition to teaching you about the best postnatal foods, I’ll be giving you my favorite low effort cooking strategies and cheat sheet meals for times when you “can’t even.”

  5. Is this for breastfeeding moms only?

    Nope. This is for all moms! I believe the decision to breastfeed is multi-factorial and I support your choice, whatever it is.

  6. How much time will I have to spend on this each week?

    Outside of our 1 hour zoom call, it’s entirely up to you. I’m not giving you more work to do. I’m introducing you to healthy new habits and helping you replace old ways of eating with new ones.

  7. Is this an exercise program?

    I’ll be introducing you to postnatal specific exercise options (DR and prolapse friendly) and you can choose what and when to implement.

Prenatal Course FAQs

  • How is this different from what my OB told me to eat? Or what I could find on Google?

    • Most doctors don’t spend quality time educating mamas about how to properly nourish themselves during pregnancy. Receiving a nutritional print out page (if you even get that!) does not constitute ample information and doesn’t cover logistical implementation.

    • Additionally, the info spit out by “doctor Google” isn’t based on true optimal prenatal nutrition, it’s often contradictory, and frankly it typically leads to a time consuming stress induced Internet search spiral that doesn’t yield real help or real results.

    • As a health coach, my job is to thoroughly educate mamas using the most up to date scientific research available, and guide them through actual implementation to see a real life transformation.

  • I’m already in my 3rd trimester, is it still worth it for me to sign up?

    • Heck yes! It is NEVER too late to make positive changes in your pregnancy. In fact, studies have shown that mothers who receive nutrition counseling during their third trimester have better weight gain during the remainder of their pregnancy and reduced instances of low birth weight than those who don’t receive any counseling at all. Multiple studies also show improved longterm cognitive function of babies whose mothers began supplementing properly during the third trimester. Better late than never!

    • Additionally, I’ve structured the program to build on itself so we hit the most crucial aspects first. So starting to fully implement those steps (even if just in the final few weeks of your pregnancy) will have positive outcomes. You can eat to properly energize your body for a smoother labor and prepare for the transition to breastfeeding (which has even higher nutritional requirements!). Plus, this info is applicable to postpartum recovery as well. Don’t overlook your postpartum recovery! In fact, I have a whole guide for that too :)

  • Are you going to be restricting my diet?

    • No way. I believe in bio-individuality and being food positive. Pregnancy is fascinating in that our nutritional requirements truly do change substantially, so I believe in being as omnivorous as possible, and focusing on nutrient density first. But that doesn’t mean you have to cut out your favorite foods. It just means focusing on the specific foods that will build a healthy baby.

  • I’m vegetarian/vegan. Will this work for me?

    • I encourage an omnivorous diet during pregnancy, however you don’t have to eat animal products to get plenty of value out of this program. You just need to be comfortable hearing about animal products. I generally encourage strict plant based eaters to consider working one-on-one with a practitioner to ensure you’re meeting your nutritional requirements through food and supplementation.

  • I’m busy these days, what’s the time commitment like?

    • I totally get it! That’s a big part of the course. :) I’m distilling all of my extensive knowledge in prenatal nutrition and my real life experience from a decade of health coaching women down into action oriented, bite sized steps that will guide you through cleaning up your prenatal diet. You can implement one at a time or go all in at once. As far as getting through the course, you can binge and digest it all in one afternoon. The videos total 2.5 hours and there are over 50 pages of E-book info. Again, no fluff! I’m ready to get you off your computer or phone and into your kitchen!

  • Is the information science backed?

    • Yes. Most of the information in this program comes from the Women’s Health and Nutrition Academy, co-founded by Lily Nichols (RD and leading expert in prenatal nutrition). I also draw on teachings from Weston A Price, education from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and more.
